ACTIVE NITROGEN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

Spectroscopy support management system.

UK based client company maker of spectroscopy instrumentation.

The requirements brief was to develop an automated nitrogen management system to replace the manually regulated system.

An electronics platform that would measure the flow rate of the required 3 channels and actively manage the flow rates for the 3 channels. The electronic platform would be an integrated part of the spectroscopy system provided to the end user by the client company.

Via a USB interface a PC running the system configuration and monitoring software would be used to update and retrieve the system parameters in real time. the monitoring software was developed completely as part of the project and exclusively for the client.

The software and hardware working to gather to monitor and set the flow rates for each of the channels. Alarms could be set for loss of flow. Wake up and initialisation events could be set to ensure the system would be up and running ready for operation as the system required nitrogen purging for significant periods before operation cloud commence.

Full reporting in chart and file export is included along with remote monitoring over the internet. The system once set will autonomously operate with the PC disconnected.

The product is currently in worldwide distribution.
